Low 3/4 arm slot on the mound, long and loose arm action, very live arm, good arm speed, athletic delivery, good armside run and sink on fastball, feel for 11-5 curveball, high upside on the mound. Daniel Bridgeman
P
Dinwiddie, VADinwiddie
Though he won First Team All Central Region and Second Team All State honors as a first baseman in 2011, the lanky right-hander was recruited primarily as a pitcher. Part of a big class that is headed to Radford. Cardinals coach Rich Graham on Bridgeman: "Daniel's effective 3-pitch mix builds off his 87 mph fastball and his terrific spot control. He was a big reason why Dinwiddie went through its regular season undefeated this year. He projects as a front-line starter at the next level."

Garrett is a left-handed center fielder who bats lead-off for Western Branch. He made an early commitment to East Carolina University. Western Branch coach Roland Wright told us: "Garrett has the ability and opportunity to not only play baseball at the collegiate level, but also at the professional level. Garrett has tremendous range and arm strength in the outfield. Garrett also has the ability to drive the baseball with power to all sides of the field. Garrett is one of the major reasons why Western Branch Baseball was able to make it to the 2010 AAA State Semi-finals"

Glen Allen, VADeep Run
Braves coach Tommy Mayers says of Brooks "I have watched Stephen over the years develop into one of the premiere pitchers in he Country. He has a big time power arm with very solid mechanics. Last summer he topped out at 91 mph during the 15u WWBA. He was the hardest thrower at that event. I fully expect Stephen to hit the 93-94 mph range at some point."

One Cane's coach told VirginiaPreps.com "nothing falls in CF when he is out there - nothing. He gets great reads and his speed plays well. Big time bat, with power. Reminds me of South Carolina's CF, Jackie Bradley, Jr. He produced all summer for the Canes against top teams." Henderson was heavily recruited by several ACC and SEC schools before deciding on Liberty.

Tim Kelly
P
Yorktown, VAYork
The right-hander has three quality pitches that he describes "good location on the fastball, and slider, change-up" adding that his high school coach Rusty Ingram makes his pitchers practice the change-up like its a religion. "I especially rely on it during the summer, and only use it for the best hitters in high school. I try to be balanced, and use my power when I need to and finesse when that's needed. But it depends on what stuff is working best that day, and that's what I go with." Committed early to Virginia Tech.

Sean Kennedy

Fredericksburg, VANorth Stafford
One coach said of Kennedy "Sean is as fierce a competitor on the mound as I have seen. He attacks hitters with a 3 pitch mix that includes a mid to upper 80's fastball, plus breaking pitch but most noteably a flat out phenominal change-up. He's just the type of player that wants to be on the mound in a big game."

Nathan Kirby
P
Midlothian, VAJames River
The lefthander made an early commitment to Virginia in the fall of 2010. At 6-2 and 185 pounds, Kirby projects physically to be able to handle the rigors of Division I baseball after a couple years of weight training. Cardinals coach Rich Graham on Nate Kirby: “As he demonstrated at PG National, Nate is now topping 90 mph consistently. When he pairs that up with his power curve at 79-82 mph, he can dominate games. He can strike out any hitter in any situation, but can also drop a change up when needed to get outs by contact as well."

Jeff Petty Canes GM told us "Luke Lowery is one of the top catchers in the 2012 class in the country. He is consistently sub 2.0, and on the bag with his throws. Lowery also has some serious power for a player his age. Luke was a huge part of our National Championship run this year ( Canes 2012 World Wood Bat National Champions 2010 16-under), and middle of the line-up presence with his stick."

Christian Vylonis
C
Virginia Beach, VAKellam
If you are looking for a catcher who can really throw and shut down the running game, Vylonis can. Christian is polished behind the dish with great receiving and blocking skills but, above all, he can really throw. Down the line, he may take his arm strength to the mound for a pro career. He throws that well. His bat is getting better every year as he fills out and gets stronger. He has always had a sound swing and a good approach but the power will come with maturity. Christian is for sure in the top tier of catchers in Virginia.

Like many of the state's top prospects, Wasilewski participates with the Hurricanes program when not playing for Tazewell. Canes Coach Jeff Petty said "Zak is a tremendous competitor and athlete. He is the type of kid that wants the ball in big situations and is one of the hardest working kids I have seen at his age in a long time. He is religious in the weight room on a daily basis. He's a great kid as well. I have no doubt in my mind he will bounce back from the Tommy John surgery and be better than he was before because of his tireless work ethic."

Jack Wynkoop
P
Virginia Beach, VACape Henry Collegiate School
"Jack is very talented player," Cape Henry head coach Ryan Morris said of the sophomore lefty. "But he brings an added value with his versatility. Jack's future in baseball most likely will be spent primarily on the mound, but he has continued to develop as a hitter through his work ethic. Jack does seem to have a touch of 'gamer' in him," Morris finished. "I’ve noticed that he seems to rise to the occasion when it matters most, and I think that affects everyone around him."
